AuthoraCare recently disclosed that it suffered a data breach that compromised the sensitive personal and protected health data of tens of thousands of individuals.
What Happened?
Between August 18 and 22, 2024, an unauthorized party accessed AuthoraCare computer systems, resulting in unauthorized access to consumers’ sensitive health data, including names, addresses, dates of birth, phone numbers, email addresses, medical diagnoses, prescription information, and Social Security numbers.
On January 3, 2025, after completing an investigation of the incident, AuthoraCare filed a notice of data breach and sent out data breach letters and emails to those who were affected.
