Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) recently disclosed that it suffered a data breach that compromised the sensitive personal data of certain individuals.
What Happened?
Between August 19 and 22, 2024, an unauthorized party accessed LPGA’s computer system, resulting in unauthorized access to consumers’ sensitive information, including names, driver’s license numbers, financial account information, and Social Security numbers.
On November 22, 2024, after completing an investigation of the incident, LPGA filed a notice of data breach and sent out data breach letters to those who were affected.
